Love Stories and Hammock Things: Getting married in a hammock & why our products make the ideal wedding gift

Getting married is back in fashion. And of course everything has to be right on this special day – from the perfect wedding outfit and styling to a unique location and catering to a first-class atmosphere. Every now and then our CHICO hammocks play a small but important role at weddings. This is illustrated by the following two stories that we want to tell you today:

Heart pounding in the CHICO giant hammock

The focus of this story is our large show garden, which is located on our company premises. We created this primarily so that customers can also inspect and test our products up close outside of our opening hours. Over the years, however, our show garden has also become a popular attraction and resting place for hikers, cyclists, bikers or school classes whose excursions pass by here. Because here you can really relax. Above all, our giant hammock with a length of eight meters is well received by visitors of all ages. But that it should even play a key role in a love story – we never dreamed of that. And yet it's true. Because one day we got a call from a groom-to-be. His request: whether we could lend him the said hammock and frame for his wedding at his parents' court. He wants to surprise his bride with it. We at CHICO are always up for such fun and surprises. And so our manager Georg Katzlinger set up the hammock in a village about seven kilometers away - and had a long conversation with the groom. So why exactly our CHICO giant hammock? Of course we wanted to know. And the groom's answer still makes our hearts pound: "I met my wife in this giant hammock on the company premises." The curious thing about it: The two actually lived not far apart, but they met each other for the first time in our hammock . And apparently it sparked there too.

Spontaneous photo shooting in the wedding dress

Our special red-white-red hammock starred in the second story. And it happened like this: In October we organized an in-house photo shoot on the meadow orchard next to the company headquarters. Colorful foliage, pleasant temperatures, milky-blue sky – autumn showed itself from its most beautiful side on that day. And so we decided without further ado to also focus on our red-white-red hammock in the truest sense of the word - in a nice spot not far from our courtyard. During set up, we suddenly heard a rattle - a vintage vehicle was approaching. And in the passenger seat sat a bride. "What an opportunity!" we thought. And so we spontaneously stopped the car and asked the bride if she would like to take some cool photos in our CHICO hammock. And the bride? She was at least as spontaneous as we were and immediately agreed. This resulted in some great pictures that we love to look at again and again.

CHICO hammocks as a wedding gift

Without a doubt, these are two special stories that have burned themselves into our hearts. But in between we can always make people happy with our products - and that in turn makes us shine. Our CHICO hammocks are also often chosen as a wedding gift, because our robust products accompany the couple over a long period of time and thus through all tides. It doesn't matter whether it's parents, friends or work colleagues - people often combine them, select them with care and finally give them away on the big day.
